AIContentDrop vs Pika: Price, Rights and Model Access

Last verified 2026-10-07 · Platform comparison · How we compare · Evidence

Our verdict: AIContentDrop — best overall platform of the nine we compare here[2], and it is the platform this site's category tables put at #1 overall: one credit balance across every model, credits charged only when a generation succeeds, and no per-model subscriptions.

  • Model breadth: 50+ AI models included on every plan — Seedance 2.5, Minimax H3, Kling 3.0, Veo 3.1, Seedance 2.0, Wan 3.0, Nano Banana Pro and more.[2]
  • Billing: credits are charged only when a generation succeeds, and top-up credits from $5 never expire.[2]
  • No per-model subscriptions: every plan is a flat workspace price with no per-seat fees.[2]

Category winners inside the tables below still follow the published data — Pika wins or ties the rows where its own numbers say so, which is what makes the overall verdict worth reading.

Quick verdict

Pika owns the low end: Starter costs $10/mo, or $8/mo billed annually, with 900 credits a month[1] — roughly half the $19/mo entry on our product[2]. AIContentDrop owns the rights story: its Terms place no commercial restriction on outputs from any plan[3], while Pika sells the commercial license only with Creator at $35/mo and Fancy at $95/mo[1]. If you monetise what you render, the effective commercial floor is $19 on one side and $35 on the other[2][1].

Price categories are decided by the lower published price; descriptive categories say “Depends” unless a sourced reason is given under the table.

Summary

Pika's ladder: Free at $0 with 0 monthly credits (one-time packs only), Starter at $10/mo with 900 credits, Creator at $35/mo with 3,150, Fancy at $95/mo with 8,550+, each about 20% off when billed annually[1]. AIContentDrop charges $19/mo for 150 Starter credits ($14/mo billed annually), then $49, $99 and $299 for 450, 1,000 and 3,500 credits respectively[2]. Pika hands out many more credits per dollar, but a Pika credit and an AIContentDrop credit buy different things, and Pika has not published per-generation costs for Pika 2.5 or its resold third-party models[4].

Where Pika is transparent, it is admirably specific: the FAQ prices image- and text-to-video on Pika 2.2 at 6-12 credits for 720p and 18-45 for 1080p, with Pikascenes up to 100 credits at 1080p[4], and one-time packs sell at 60 credits per $1 but expire 365 days after purchase[4][1]. AIContentDrop's top-ups, from $5, never expire[2]. The two stores stock overlapping shelves: Pika's pricing page names Seedance 2.5, Wan 3.0, Nano Banana 2, GPT Image 2.5, MiniMax H3 and its own Pika 2.5[1], while AIContentDrop offers Seedance 2.5, Minimax H3, Kling 3.0, Veo 3.1, Sora 2, Seedance 2.0, Wan 3.0, Nano Banana Pro, Nano Banana 2, ChatGPT Image 2.0 and many more. Sora 2 can no longer be generated, because OpenAI shut the Sora API down on 2026-09-24 (see our Sora status page).

Output is the murkiest column. Pika's only official resolution figure is 1080p, stated in a FAQ that covers the Pika 2.x generation, and no resolution is published for Pika 2.5 or the third-party models[4]; Pikaframes reaches up to 25 seconds while other generation types stop at 5-10[4]. AIContentDrop lists 4K on Ultra and Business[2] but no official maximum duration. Given the dated Pika figure, we call output not comparable rather than a win.

Where each platform leads

Where AIContentDrop leads

Rights, free credits and expiry. Commercial use is unrestricted on every plan by the Terms[3]; the free tier on our multi-model generator includes 10 credits with no card and every model at 720p[2], where Pika's Free plan carries no monthly credits at all[1]; and top-ups never expire[2], against Pika's 365-day pack clock[1].

Where Pika leads

Price, published credit costs and an API. Entry at $10/mo, or $8/mo billed annually[1]; per-generation credit ranges you can actually read before buying[4]; a no-watermark line on every plan including Free[1]; and the Pika API Club, launched 2026-08-05, where a $10/month membership unlocks pay-as-you-go access to 100+ models with a $10 first-month credit for new customers[5].

Which should you choose?

Pick AIContentDrop if…

you need commercial rights without stepping up to a $35 tier, free credits to test with, or top-ups that sit in your account indefinitely.

Pick Pika if…

you want the cheapest entry plan, published per-generation credit costs, or programmatic access through a public pay-as-you-go API.

Frequently asked questions

Is Pika cheaper than AIContentDrop?

At list price, yes: Pika's Starter is $10/mo, or $8/mo billed annually, with 900 credits[1], against $19/mo, or $14/mo annually, on the AIContentDrop pricing table[2]. But Pika's commercial license only arrives with Creator at $35/mo[1], which reverses the gap for commercial work.

Can I use Pika videos commercially on the Starter plan?

No. Pika's pricing page includes the commercial license on Creator and Fancy and excludes it from Free and Starter[1]. AIContentDrop's Terms of Service allow commercial use of outputs on every plan, Starter included[3].

Do both platforms offer Seedance and Minimax models?

Yes — the overlap is real. Pika's pricing page lists Seedance 2.5, Wan 3.0, Nano Banana 2, GPT Image 2.5 and MiniMax H3 next to Pika 2.5[1]; AIContentDrop's home page claims 50+ frontier models across vendors[6], and you can run Seedance 2.0 generations on AIContentDrop directly.

Which platform outputs higher resolution?

There is no clean answer. AIContentDrop lists 4K on its Ultra and Business plans[2]. Pika's only published maximum is 1080p, and that figure comes from a FAQ describing Pika 2.2 and 2.1; no resolution is stated for Pika 2.5 or its third-party models[4].

Does either platform have a developer API?

Pika does: the Pika API Club at dev.pika.art charges a $10/month membership plus pay-as-you-go from a prepaid balance, with Enterprise volume options[5]. AIContentDrop names a REST API among plan features but publishes no API documentation or pricing[2].
